About me
Hello, I’m Charlotte
I’m a CBT psychotherapist, Interpersonal Psychotherapist, EMDR Psychotherapist, Registered Mental Health Nurse and Coach. I also practice Neurodiverse-affirming Therapy and Coaching. This means that I have completed additional training so that I can adapt my practice, to be inclusive of clients with ADHD, AuDHD or ASC.
What I can help with
I want you to feel safe and supported in our sessions, so that a trusting and healing relationship can be built. My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and very collaborative, whether the treatment is IPT, CBT, EMDR or Coaching.
As a guide, a course of therapy tends to be around 14-20 sessions, and has 3 stages.
Types of therapy I offer
CBT
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
CBT is a talking therapy that explores your thoughts, feelings, somatic sensations and behaviours towards a current difficulty. CBT is a really effective treatment for many different problems, and seen as the gold standard treatment for anxiety and depressive disorders.
IPT
Interpersonal Psychotherapy
Interpersonal psychotherapy focuses on relieving symptoms by improving interpersonal communication and relationships. It addresses current problems and relationships rather than childhood or developmental issues. The sessions are active, supportive and hopeful, and offer options for change.
EMDR
Eye Movement Dissemination & Reprocessing Therapy
EMDR is used to help people recover from distressing events and the problems they have caused, like flashbacks, upsetting thoughts or images, depression and anxiety. EMDR is recognised by NICE and the WHO as a treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Adapted Neurodiverse-affirming Therapy
I have over 10 years experience of working with clients who identify as neurodiverse. I have completed additional training so that I can adapt my practice, to be inclusive of clients with ADHD, AuDHD or ASC.

CBT Coaching
CBT coaching helps to create shifts in your thinking, feelings and behaviours, so that you can unlock your potential and achieve the things you want to in life or at work. CBT coaching can identify internal blocks in your thinking or behaviours, and give you new tools and skills to overcome obstacles in your life.
-
Executive Function Coaching
If you find that you are always leaving things to the last minute, your house or work space is messy and disorganised, or you find yourself forgetting important appointments or tasks, this may indicate that you are experiencing executive dysfunction. In Executive Function coaching sessions we can come up with achievable solutions that strengthen the skills you already have and develop new skills so that life feels manageable.
