About me

Hello, I’m Charlotte

I’m a CBT psychotherapist, Interpersonal Psychotherapist, EMDR Psychotherapist, Registered Mental Health Nurse and Coach. I also practice Neurodiverse-affirming Therapy and Coaching. This means that I have completed additional training so that I can adapt my practice, to be inclusive of clients with ADHD, AuDHD or ASC.

My approach

I want you to feel safe and supported in our sessions, so that a trusting and healing relationship can be built. My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and very collaborative, whether the treatment is IPT, CBT, EMDR or Coaching.

As a guide, a course of therapy tends to be around 14-20 sessions, and has 3 stages.

Stage 1:
Assessment

During assessment sessions we will take time to fully explore your issues and difficulties. This will help us to build a collaborative picture about the problems you are experiencing, and what you would like to be different.

Stage 2:
Treatment

The collaborative picture built in assessment will help to guide therapy. Treatment is done at a pace that feels right to you, and promotes a feelings of safety, so that we can create lasting and meaningful change.

Stage 3:
Looking to the future

When you are ready to end therapy. We will reflect on whats been achieved, and explore any anxiety about therapy ending. As well as, recognising the strengths you have, and how to apply these to future challenges.
